The 14th Senate District encompasses a large portion of North St. Louis County and parts of mid-county. Bridgeton and Hazelwood in the northwest, Ferguson and Berkeley in the northeast and University City to the south. This area has a proud tradition of strong representation in Missouri’s state senate – from Harriett Woods, to Wayne Goode, to our current senator, Rita Heard Days. I am running to continue the tradition of excellent representation for the people of our diverse district. I have been fortunate to serve three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives, fighting for our progressive ideals and becoming one of the few Democratic officials to sponsor bills adopted by the Republican-controlled legislature. It is truly an honor to serve you, and with your continued help, I look forward to the opportunity to serve as your State Senator.
My main goal during the campaign and in this office is a simple, but important one. I seek to build coalitions among Missourians that will help move our state forward. By working together, we will advance and strengthen causes such as public education, health care, social programs, and civil rights for all.
I learned long ago that successful political efforts are built from the bottom-up. So please, join my campaign today!
